Federal Government has inaugurated a Joint Implementation Committee to spearhead a nationwide digital literacy and emerging skills programme aimed at training and certifying one million Nigerians across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The government also launched the Clergy World Digital Skills Nigeria Initiative as part of efforts to fast-track digital literacy, human capital development and inclusive digital transformation nationwide.

At the inauguration in Abuja, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, described the initiative as a major milestone in the Federal Government’s strategic commitment to deepening digital literacy in line with Nigeria’s development priorities.
